Eight of Atlanta's 17 high schools increased their graduation rates in 2019.

The four-year graduation rates for the district's traditional, non-traditional and charter high schools were released by the state last week. Overall, Atlanta Public Schools' on-time graduation rate slipped to 77.9% in 2019, down from 79.9% in 2018. 

One charter high school, Atlanta Classical Academy, graduated its first class in 2019 with a graduation rate of 88.6%.

The Atlanta high schools that increased graduation rates this year are: 

Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy 

2019 graduation rate: 100%

2018 graduation rate: 93.5%

Carver Early College 

2019 graduation rate: 92.6%

2018 graduation rate: 91.8%

South Atlanta High School 

2019 graduation rate: 87.9%

2018 graduation rate: 85%

Therrell High School 

2019 graduation rate: 87%

2018 graduation rate: 86.4%

BEST Academy 

2019 graduation rate: 86.3%

2018 graduation rate: 83.9%

Carver STEAM 

2019 graduation rate: 68.8%

2018 graduation rate: 65.7%

Alonzo A. Crim Open Campus High School* 

2019 graduation rate: 12.4%

2018 graduation rate: 10.1%

Forrest Hill Academy* 

2019 graduation rate: 4.7%

2018 graduation rate: 0%

Drew Charter School 

2019 graduation rate: 96.6%

2018 graduation rate: 98.7%

North Atlanta High School 

2019 graduation rate: 91.1%

2018 graduation rate: 92.5%

Grady High School 

2019 graduation rate: 90.4%

2018 graduation rate: 92%

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate 

2019 graduation rate: 86.3%

2018 graduation rate: 90.2%

Maynard H. Jackson High School 

2019 graduation rate: 83.7%

2018 graduation rate: 84.8%

Booker T. Washington High School 

2019 graduation rate: 72.2%

2018 graduation rate: 73.8%

Mays High School 

2019 graduation rate: 71.8%

2018 graduation rate: 78.2%

Douglass High School 

2019 graduation rate: 63.7%

2018 graduation rate: 69.9%
