Gwinnett County Public Schools announced that it will extend distance learning through the week following Spring Break.

Next week, March 30 through April 3, is Spring Break for Gwinnett schools. All schools and offices will be closed and students and teachers will take a recess from Digital Learning Days.

The student meals for pick up or delivery provided by the school district will be suspended during Spring Break since our staff members will not be working. However, the district is working with gwinnettcares.org and several co-ops in the county. They have a food plan for serving Gwinnett families who need assistance during Spring Break.

That information is forthcoming.

School district leaders continue to assess the COVID-19 situation daily, and based on current information, Digital Learning Days will resume after Spring Break. Starting on Monday, April 6, students and teachers will go back to online lessons.

Gwinnett schools will also resume providing student meals that day for pick up or delivery at school bus stops. Information about student meals will be updated during Spring Break and will be available on the GCPS website.

Plans for the week of April 13 will be communicated soon after Spring Break ends.
