Fulton County students will make up three school days lost this year because of weather, the district announced Wednesday.

The make up days will be held on Feb. 16, March 9 and March 12.

The district had previously announced the February date as a way to make up for some of the time it lost because of Tropical Storm Irma. The March 9 date will be the district’s first “Digital Learning Day,” in which students work from home. Both March dates had been previously scheduled as teacher work days, with students off.

“This pilot will allow us to collect important feedback we can use for possible digital learning days during future weather events where it is necessary to close schools,” said Superintendent Jeff Rose, in a written statement.

The additional days make up three of the eight days the district has lost to inclement weather this school year.
