The Ford Motor Company Fund, a philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, has announced its second $25,000 grant challenge for historically black colleges and universities.

The Ford HBC-You Mobility Challenge asks an HBCU students, faculty, alumni or administrators to design mobility-based projects to address community needs.

The challenge could see HBCUs receive up to $25,000 as a top prize, used toward project implementation. A runner-up prize of up to $10,000 also will be awarded.

The challenge's current theme is Making Lives Better: Changing the Way We Move Through Smart Mobility.

It was created to empower collaborative creating and implementing sustainable solutions addressing unmet needs and improving an individual’s life within their community.
