The Delta Air Lines Foundation this week announced a $300,000 donation to support literacy efforts at Atlanta schools.

A year ago, Delta committed to a five-year partnership with Atlanta Public Schools. In its first year, Delta employees gave $350,000.

This week, Delta announced a $300,000 contribution to Atlanta Partners for Education, a nonprofit that supports the work of the school district.

The money will pay four full-time literacy teachers.

Delta employees gave $350,000 last year in the first phase of the partnership.
