A DeKalb County School District  teacher is on administrative leave after an incident where he allegedly pushed a student.

Arthur Anderson was charged Tuesday with one count of battery and released on bond the same day.

Officials said a student suffered injuries after Anderson, who was assigned to Flat Rock in July, pushed the student to the ground on March 26. Anderson, a teacher with the district since 2014, was removed from the classroom the following day. He is currently on paid administrative leave.
