Cobb County schools officials have cancelled all activities for students after 6 p.m. Tuesday due to possible hazardous road conditions.

All elementary After School Programs (ASP) will remain open until 6 p.m., according to a statement from the school system.

Cobb school officials are monitoring the weather forecast calling for snow flurries in metro Atlanta but don’t have plans to release students early.

Morning flurries started to produce a dusting in northwest Georgia and some spots in metro Atlanta Tuesday. Flurries were spotted in Dunwoody in DeKalb County, and heavier snowfall in Roswell in north Fulton County and accumulation in Cherokee County.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologists said snow showers and flurries will continue off and on through this evening.
