One person was killed and two others injured in a head-on crash Friday night in Gwinnett County, police said.

Investigators believe a pickup truck traveling westbound on U.S. 78 crossed the center line, striking a minivan near the intersection with Haynescrest Drive in Grayson, according to Sgt. Brian Doan with Gwinnett police.

The driver of the minivan was killed in the 10:30 p.m. crash, Doan said. A 13-year-old passenger in the minivan was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The names of those involved in the crash were not released late Friday.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the wreck, Doan said. It was not known if charges would be filed.
