An unusual crash in South Georgia shut down I-16, a major highway between Macon and Savannah, after the trailer of a dump truck struck an overhead bridge with enough force to shift the bridge deck by several feet. Crews finished the demolition of the damaged I-16 bridge on Thursday evening. A seven-mile stretch of interstate in Treutlen County remains closed Friday as work begins to haul away debris.
