If you’ve recently purchased a box of Honey Nut Cheerios, you might have noticed one thing missing: Buzz the Bee. The brand is using its mascot to draw attention to #BringBackTheBees, a campaign aimed at boosting the global bee populations.

“Buzz is missing because there's something serious going on with the world's bees,” the company said. “Bee populations everywhere have been declining at an alarming rate, and that includes honeybees like Buzz.”

That’s why the company has partnered with Vesey Seeds to send out 100 million wildflower seeds. It’s a flower that provides many of the nutrients bees need to survive.
