Multiple viral Instagram videos that appear to show a Georgia teenager being disciplined have sparked concern across social media platforms.

Many users worried so much for the girl’s safety after seeing her be belittled and struck by two adults that they asked police to get involved.

Some social media users believed the incident took place in Clayton County on Sunday, but Lt. Cherie West said in an email that their investigation concluded that the scene was in Gwinnett County.

Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle said while detectives have yet to confirm the exact location of the incident, a Special Victims Unit detective is working on the case and “assuming it happened in Gwinnett County.”

In the three videos, ranging from six to 15 minutes long, a girl is seen sitting in a chair with shaky legs inside a garage as a man and woman question her for repeatedly lying and trying to run away. During the questioning, the girl, identified as Trinity in the videos, appears to be struck by the unidentified woman.

Gwinnett County police are investigating the incident, which took place Sunday.

At one point, Trinity runs out of the garage after the woman appears to grab her hair, but is pursued by a man and led back into the garage. In the second video, the man appears to throw Trinity on the floor, sits on her chest and pins her wrists above her head.

The girl is heard crying, "Daddy, get off of me, please.” The man asks why, and she responds with “it hurts.”

The man identifies himself as the girl’s father in the video. AJC is not naming the man at the moment since he has not been charged.
