Gwinnett County police have charged four more teenagers with murder in the Valentine’s Day shooting of a 20-year-old woman in a Dacula neighborhood.
Investigators announced late that two 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds were arrested in the death of Loganville resident Faith Burns, bringing the number of teenage girls charged in the case to five.
Kennedy Collins and Jocelyn Spencer each face murder and aggravated assault charges, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Hideshi Valle said. The two 16-year-olds, who were not identified because of their age, are also charged with Burns’ murder.
Police responded to the shooting at a home near the intersection of Uniwattee Trail and Mountain Ash Court about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14, authorities said. Burns was rushed to the hospital, but died a short time later. Investigators determined the shooting took place outside the home after finding several shell casings along the opposite side of the road, according to police.
Two days after the shooting, 17-year-old Damia Mitchell turned herself in after being identified as a suspect in the case. She was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by someone younger than 18, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. She also faces several gang charges, according to jail records.

Authorities believe Burns and Mitchell knew each other and had a “domestic altercation” prior to the deadly shooting. It’s unclear how the other teens were involved, but police said there were several people present when Burns was killed.
Mitchell, Collins and Spencer remained at the Gwinnett County Jail Saturday morning without bond, online records showed.
