A recent Twitter trend remembers NBA star Kobe Bryant in his role as a father to his four daughters with #GirlDad.

Celebrities have chimed in and celebrated their own daughters with the bittersweet hashtag tribute.

The trend started days after Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died with seven other people in a helicopter crash Sunday.

ESPN anchor Elle Duncan, who was born in Atlanta, prompted the hashtag when she shared a memory of a conversation with Bryant on “SportsCenter” on Monday night.

"I would have five more girls if I could. I'm a girl dad," Duncan remembers Bryant telling her.

#GirlDad took hold of Twitter, and dads, famous or otherwise, are sharing what it’s like to be a father to daughters.

NFL stars have shared family photos to celebrate their daughters. Below, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson shared sweet photos with his 2-year-old daughter Sienna. Robert Griffin III, a quarterback with the Baltimore Ravens, also joined in the conversation with his three daughters.

Timbaland, a rapper and music producer, shared photos of himself with his daughter Reign.

Georgia Tech football coaches tweeted pictures with their daughters.

According to “Good Morning America,” #GirlDad reached the number one spot for trending on Twitter and almost 100,000 posts on Instagram. Some are starting to use the hashtag as a gender reveal as well.
