Authorities have identified a Georgia teenager whose body was found about 6 p.m. Monday.

The victim was identified as Omari S. Alexander, 18, of Hinesville, according to the Coastal Courier.

The body was found close to a private driveway on County Line Road near Rye Patch in Long County.

Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles has ruled the case a homicide investigation, although he did not give any more details about the manner of death.

Alexander’s body was taken for an autopsy by the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler.

Long County officials and the GBI are investigating Alexander’s death.

"Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Long County Sheriff's Office at 912-545-2118, or the GBI Kingsland Office at 912-729-6198,"  WTOC reported.
