Former Georgia youth pastor charged with sexual exploitation

A 22-year-old former youth pastor in Metter is facing charges of sexual exploitation and sexual battery, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Steve Macallin Thomas of Garfield was charged Monday with two counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of sexual battery, the GBI said in its news release.

Thomas is a former youth pastor at the Restoration Worship Center in Metter, the GBI said. Thomas turned himself in to the Candler County Jail on Monday night, according to the news release.
