A small fire Sunday afternoon temporarily forced the congregation of a Gwinnett County church to be evacuated.

Gwinnett firefighters were called to First Korean Presbyterian Church at 6175 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker around 12:15 p.m. Sunday. A caller said smoke was seen coming from a worship hall attached to the main sanctuary.

While no one was in the worship hall, firefighters evacuated the church as a precaution as they put out the blaze, the fire department said.

Fire crews ventilated the building and church-goers returned to continue services.

No injuries were reported.
