Kelly made a point to say that she never responded to Trump's attacks over the past 9 months and that nothing was off limits in the interview.

When asked about if he regretted any of his past tweets attacking GOP rivals, Trump said it's the retweets that get him in hot water.

Kelly asked Trump about the retweets, which he said came from his fans with whom he has an "unbelievable bond" with.

Trump initially denied calling Kelly a bimbo through retweets, but when Kelly said he's called her that "numerous times," Trump apologized -- sort of.

"Ooh. OK. Excuse me," he said.
