Police have arrested the girlfriend of a man who was shot to death Sunday at an apartment complex in East Point, authorities said.
The shooting happened at The Woods at Camp Creek Apartments on Kenelworth Drive, where officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to East Point police spokesman Sgt. James Watkins. The victim was conscious when he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, but later died from his injuries, police said. His name was not released.
On Monday afternoon, Watkins said the man’s girlfriend was taken into custody “in regards to the incident” at the complex, which is located near Camp Creek Parkway and I-285 in Fulton County.
No other details were shared about what led to the gunfire or what charges the woman is facing. Watkins said the shooting remains under investigation.
