A woman was fatally shot on Christmas Eve in southwest Atlanta, police said.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of Smith Street in the Pittsburgh neighborhood shortly after 6 p.m. The victim was found with an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
The woman was not publicly identified.
No information was provided on a suspect or what led to the shooting.
