With the help of several witnesses, a shooting suspect was identified and arrested Friday night, accused of killing another man outside of an apartment building in Marietta, officials said.

Tavion Taylor, 21, was taken into custody in connection with the death of De’shaune Hall, according to authorities.

When officers arrived around 10:15 p.m., they discovered Hall, 21, lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds. The shooting happened at the Rosemont Bentley complex, located in the 2600 block of Bentley Road, less than a half-mile from I-75, officials said.

Witnesses at the scene were able to identify Taylor as the suspect and provided an address for him in the 1600 block of Windy Ridge Lane, less than 3 miles away. Cobb County officers saw Taylor walking near the area as they responded to that address, authorities said.

Following a short chase, Taylor was arrested. He was booked into the Cobb jail on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was denied bond Monday, Channel 2 Action News reported.
