Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a crash that blocked all northbound lanes of Ga. 400 for five hours.
The two-vehicle wreck at Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell was reported around 3:30 a.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Roswell police confirmed the two fatalities but did not provide any other details on what caused the collision.
During the crash investigation, the northbound lanes were closed between Northridge and Holcomb Bridge roads, forcing traffic off at the Northridge exit. Ga. 400 was jammed leaving Sandy Springs as a result.
The lanes reopened shortly after 8 a.m., but delays remained all through the northern suburbs, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
Police said more information will be released once they’ve processed the investigative findings, which include drone footage.
