A shooting in the parking lot of a southwest Atlanta nightclub left one person dead and another injured, police said.

Atlanta police Homicide Unit Commander Lt. Andrew Smith said a fight started inside the Lacura Bar and Bistro at 1919 Metropolitan Parkway early Wednesday, with a security guard ejecting some men from the club into the parking lot, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The fight continued outside the club and escalated into a shooting in which two men were injured, including a security guard, and a third man was shot and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Channel 2 reported.

The victim was identified as Kirey Thompson, 28, by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Multiple vehicles in the parking lot were also damaged by gunfire, and officials said they believe there were three shooters.
