Police said family members on Saturday turned in Antwon Warthen, one of two men accused of committing an armed robbery and shooting a clerk in South Fulton on July 26.

A second suspect accused of holding up two South Fulton discount stores and shooting a clerk to death in July has been arrested, authorities said.

Antwon Warthen was turned in by his family members Saturday, according to South Fulton police. The other suspect, Alantae Richardson, was apprehended in California in August and is awaiting extradition to Fulton County.

Warthen and Richardson are accused of robbing a Dollar General store in the 4800 block of Roosevelt Highway at gunpoint July 26, officials said. The men then traveled to a Quick Pick Food Mart in the 5200 block of Welcome All Road, where they allegedly committed another armed robbery and fatally shot the 44-year-old clerk, Anatoli Zenabe, as they left.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News she saw Zenabe being held at gunpoint before hearing eight shots. She noted the men demanded items including money and cigarettes from the clerk.

“I threw my hands up and I was like, ‘Please, don’t kill me. Don’t kill me,’” the woman, who declined to be identified, told Channel 2 in an exclusive interview. “He was like, ‘You all right, ma.’”

Both suspects were wearing a single glove and black ski masks at the time of the robbery, officials said. Investigators had believed they escaped in a bronze-colored, late-model Chevrolet Malibu. Police also posted surveillance images of the men and requested help from the public to identify them.

“Our detectives worked this case around the clock,” police Chief Keith Meadows said. “Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Zenabe’s family, friends and co-workers in this senseless tragedy.”
