A man was shot and killed at a busy shopping center in Cobb County on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Details are limited, but officers responded to the Windy Hill Village Shopping Center on Windy Hill Road, where they found a man who was suffering from several gunshot wounds.
“Unfortunately, the victim had succumbed to his injuries,” police spokesman Sgt. Eric Smith said. His name was not released.
The investigation is still in its early stages, Smith said. The center is located near Cobb Parkway and is home to several stores, restaurants and the Lincoln College of Technology.
