Atlanta police are searching for four suspects after a man was shot and killed Monday night at a Midtown high-rise parking garage.
Officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds after responding to the SkyHouse Midtown apartment building on the corner of West Peachtree and 12th streets shortly after 10 p.m. Keith Flanigan, 26, of Atlanta, was declared dead at the scene, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
In a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Atlanta police Lt. Ralph Woolfolk said four suspects in a dark sedan parked outside of the high-rise after Flanigan arrived and waited in their car as he went up the elevator. The suspects then got out of their car and crossed the street to wait for Flanigan. When he got off the elevator, they took Flanigan’s backpack and shot him multiple times, Woolfolk said.
Atlanta police have released video of the suspects and their vehicle on YouTube and are encouraging the public to share any information with investigators.
Flanigan was mourned on social media by Decatur-born R&B star Jacquees, who referred to him as “Money Mouse” on Twitter and posted several photos and videos in tribute on Instagram. Flanigan worked with Jacquees and the two were friends, according to the social media posts.

Skyhouse Midtown is just down West Peachtree Street from the Atlantic House Midtown apartments, where a 32-year-old man was shot and killed by police late last month as he fired a rifle from an apartment balcony, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. Inside the complex, 31-year-old Courtney Cox was found shot to death in her apartment.
Monday night’s deadly shooting is being investigated as a homicide, the 141st in the city this year and the second police investigated over the course of 24 hours. Early Monday morning, a man was found with a gunshot wound at a home in southwest Atlanta’s Oakland City neighborhood. He was pronounced dead by medics with Atlanta fire.
Atlanta police investigated 157 homicides in 2020, the deadliest year for the city in more than two decades.
