Multiple suspects are accused of robbing a man at his home on Brookwood View, South Fulton police said.

A robbery at a South Fulton home that led to a vehicle pursuit and shooting involving the homeowner and multiple suspects ended with at least one person injured Friday afternoon, police said.

It all began at a home in the 4700 block of Brookwood View, just north of South Fulton Parkway, around 4 p.m. A spokesperson for the police department said the homeowner, identified as Dallis Coleman, was sitting in his garage with another man when a suspect backed a car into the driveway and two suspects got out of the vehicle, put a gun to Coleman’s head and demanded cash.

The suspects fled in the vehicle after Coleman handed over money, but authorities then said Coleman began to pursue them in his own vehicle.

The pursuit ended after Coleman crashed into the suspects’ vehicle, police confirmed. Three suspects got out and ran off as Coleman fired at them, leading to at least one suspect being struck, officials said.

The injured suspect was able to flee through a wooded area and stumbled upon a home under construction on Inkberry Drive, less than a mile from the initial incident location, police said. Two construction workers told police that the suspect approached them and asked to wash his hands. That suspect was eventually found by officers hiding in a closet inside the home, but officials have not said if he will face charges.

Coleman, 22, was arrested that same day on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and reckless conduct. The man who was with Coleman in the garage was charged with tampering with evidence, but police did not say how he became involved.

Police said they are working to secure another warrant for a third person and that additional suspects may be at large.
