A Carrollton woman has been charged after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly family member, according to the Carrollton Police Department.

Nicole Danielle Veal, 34, made several withdrawals totaling more than $60,000 from a bank account that belongs to a family member over the age of 65, the police department said in its news release.

Veal was arrested Tuesday and charged with exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults/elder persons, according to police, after investigators determined she was responsible for the withdrawals. The withdrawals were made without permission from the family member, police said.
