A Fulton County judge has denied Young Thug’s request to modify his probation ahead of the holidays, ordering the rapper to remain in exile from metro Atlanta for at least three years.

Young Thug had asked Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker to shave a few miles off the perimeter of his banishment so he can stay in one of his Atlanta-area homes for the holidays and beyond, but on Wednesday, Whitaker ruled Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams must remain out of the area until at least three years have passed on his probation and no violations have occurred in that time.

Once those three years have passed, Whitaker said Williams can visit the home located “a few miles to the most extreme border” of metro Atlanta, but only for up to two weeks at a time and only up to four times per year starting October 31, 2027. The rapper must notify his probation officer at least five days before going to the address.

Whitaker banished Williams from the metro Atlanta area — as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau — for 10 years as part of the probation he’s serving after pleading guilty in a long-running gang case in October.

According to the Census Bureau, the metro Atlanta area extends to the state line with Alabama to the west, Meriwether County to the south, near Athens to the east and Dahlonega to the north.

Young Thug attorney Keith Adams said they will comply with the court’s order.

In the filing, Williams asked Whitaker to allow him to reside and visit his home on the outskirts of the metro area so he can have holiday and other gatherings with family members, friends and business associates. Attorneys for the rapper disclosed the location of the home to Whitaker in a sealed filing.

In the motion, attorneys for Williams note that Fulton County Chief Probation Officer Dar’Rema Whitrack had no objections to the proposed modification of Young Thug’s sentence.

Williams is only allowed to enter metro Atlanta to attend immediate family members’ weddings, funerals, graduations or medical emergencies, but he can enter the area only 24 hours before such events and must leave within 48 hours after and four times a per year for a “live anti-gang and anti-gun violence presentation” with local kids. He also can’t have contact with any of his co-defendants, except his brother Quantavious Grier, fellow rapper Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, and any other person relating to his music career.

He is not allowed to have any contact or communication with any of the other 27 people who were indicted with him in May 2022, with the exception of his brother Quantavious Grier, fellow rapper Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, and any other person relating to his music career.

Whitaker also granted Williams’ request to seal a public record that shows his current Florida address.
