Two women were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man at a home in southwest Atlanta last month.

Lavette Roker, 32, and Nekeisha Crenshaw, 33, were taken into custody Thursday for their alleged roles in the killing of Andre Dearing on Dec. 1.

Crenshaw faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Roker has been charged with party to a crime of murder.

That night, police arrived at a home in the 1700 block of Centra Villa Drive in the Venetian Hills neighborhood. They found Dearing there with a gunshot wound, officials said. He later died at a hospital.

At the time, police said they believed Dearing had been in a fight with the suspect and that the incident was ”domestic in nature.”

Dearing’s relationship to the suspects has not been disclosed by police.
