DeKalb County police are investigating the homicide of a 66-year-old woman in Redan on Friday morning.

The woman was found with a gunshot wound about 8:15 a.m. at her home off Whittondale Road, police said. Officers were called to the house to perform a wellness check.

A beige 2008 Honda Civic was also reported stolen from the residence, according to a police incident report. It’s unclear if the vehicle belonged to her, because the vehicle’s owner is redacted in the report.

The woman’s name has not been released.

No suspects have been identified. Police have not provided a possible motive.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DeKalb police at 770-724-7850.
