Police are searching for a man who snatched a purse and groceries from a 69-year-old woman in South Fulton, pushing her on the ground in the process.

The suspect is seen running up to the woman as she attempts to open the front door of her home Monday night, according to video recorded by her Ring doorbell security system. CrimeStoppers Greater Atlanta posted the video on Facebook.

She spoke to Channel 2 Action News on Wednesday and asked to be called Rosetta. She said a hood was covering the suspect’s face, but she saw right into his eyes.

“I will never forget those eyes. Never, ever,” Rosetta said.

After getting up off the ground, Rosetta ran to her parked car and honked the horn, attempting to notify her neighbors, she said. She went to a hospital with minor injuries after the incident.

South Fulton police Lt. Marcus Dennard told Channel 2 the thief got away with her cellphone, credit cards, cash and ID. The suspect ran off and drove away in a car that was parked down the street.

“Whomever might know that guy — please, please ask him to return my personal items as well as get some help,” Rosetta said.
