A 59-year-old woman died days after being shot in the leg while sleeping in her DeKalb County home, authorities said.

About 30 shell casings were found in the road outside of the home, which is located in the Belvedere Park neighborhood, according to a police incident report obtained by AJC.com. The shell casings included .223 and .22 caliber shells.

Myrick’s son told officers the incident may be related to a “rival biker gang fight” he was involved in about two months ago, the report said. Myrick was taken to a hospital after the shooting and her condition was last described as stable.

An arrest has not been made in this incident, but the investigation is ongoing.
