A man accused in beloved Barcelona Wine Bar manager Chelsea Beller’s fatal shooting was out on bond in a separate murder case in DeKalb County.
Ira Troy Williams, 19, was arrested May 2016 in a homicide investigation, DeKalb County police Lt. Lonzy Robertson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Details on the case were not immediately available Thursday evening.
Williams was granted bond in the case and has not been indicted, DeKalb County court records show.
“He has not yet been indicted as there is insufficient evidence to present the case to a grand jury at this time,”
DeKalb County District Attorney spokeswoman Yvette Jones said in a statement to Channel 2 Action News. “However, we are asking the public to contact authorities with any information related to Williams' involvement in this crime.”
Williams, who was arrested Thursday at the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA in Stone Mountain, was one of four suspects arrested in Beller’s fatal shooting.
Authorities arrested their first suspect, Samuel Ott, 21, on Dec. 1. He remains in the Fulton County jail on felony murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping and false imprisonment charges. Carlous Demar Bailey, 20, was charged Jan. 12, following his arrest in a separate armed robbery in Decatur. He remains in the DeKalb County jail.
The fourth and final suspect, Terry Andre Jones, 19, was arrested Wednesday at the Atlanta airport.
Authorities say the masked men entered the bar on Howell Mill Road in northwest Atlanta while employees were closing the restaurant. Beller opened the safe for the suspects, but was shot in the restaurant office and died from her injuries.
Atlanta police have not released a motive on what led to the shooting.
