Four Douglas County elementary school students have been suspended after they allegedly sexually assaulted a kindergarten student on a school bus, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The bus driver, who was not identified, told Channel 2 off camera he didn't know the incident was happening because he was driving.

He learned about it after Burnett Elementary School students started talking and police reviewed video that he called “extremely disturbing.”

"School administration was notified the next morning and they contacted the Department of Human Services as well as law enforcement,” school district spokeswoman Karen Stroud said. “The four students were immediately suspended from riding the bus.”

Stroud also said there was a law-enforcement investigation that included all the parents, and that the students are suspended from school pending a tribunal.
