A South Fulton man was arrested Tuesday in the third case of possible human trafficking the city’s police department has investigated this month, officials said.

A 15-year-old victim was also rescued as a result of the investigation, South Fulton police said Wednesday on Facebook.

Marlon Payne, 26, is facing charges of aggravated sexual battery, enticing a child, statutory rape, child pornography, child molestation, aggravated sodomy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with the case.

“These warrants were obtained as the result of a possible human trafficking investigation regarding Payne's involvement with a 15-year-old juvenile victim,” police said in a Facebook post. “A search warrant was executed at a residence within the city where the victim was rescued.”

According to the police department, two other cases of possible human trafficking were investigated in South Fulton this month. Two more victims were rescued.

“Additional victims may be found as more interviews are conducted, and digital forensic analysis of digital devices take place,” police said. “The Department of Homeland Security is assisting with these investigations.”

Payne is being held in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
