A man found shot and killed in southwest Atlanta early Saturday apparently was targeted, police said.

Shortly before 5 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Old Hapeville Road, Atlanta police spokeswoman Lisa Bender said.

A 26-year-old man was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Bender. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Kaso Gordon by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.

“The initial investigation,” Bender said, ”indicates that the victim was targeted by multiple armed suspects who fled the scene.”

No arrests have been made, Bender said Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing.
