“Very aggressive” robbers fired a shot from an assault-style rifle and held workers hostage at a Dollar General store in Henry County, police said.

And they are suspected in another robbery in metro Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Surveillance video shows that on Sept. 12 about 9:30 p.m., just before closing time, two people went into the store on Ga. 155 in Stockbridge.

The robbers took two workers hostage and demanded all the money in the store.

“(The worker) complied with everything he said and then she actually got on the ground to get out of the way,” Henry County police spokesman Mike Ireland said.

Video showed the person firing the AK-47 just after pointing it at an employee. Police are not sure if the shot was accidental.

No one was injured, the news station reported.

A week later, “These same two individuals also did an armed robbery in Fayetteville,” Ireland said.

“It seems they’re very aggressive,” Ireland said, “in going into the stores and committing these robberies.”
