His plan was to drive to Louisiana, pick up a girl he’d met through PlayStation chat and bring her back to his home in Georgia, according to police.

But when 19-year-old David Rivera arrived at the girl’s home, a woman called authorities, according to a Louisiana police department. The girl’s age was not released.

“It was found that on February 14th the male subject drove from the state of Georgia to pick up the juvenile female and bring her back to Georgia with him,” Livingston police said in a news release. “When he arrived at the address, an adult female observed what was taking place and intervened.”

Rivera then drove more than 500 miles back to his Roswell home.

Livingston police secured arrest warrants for Rivera, and he was arrested in Roswell late last month, according to police.

Rivera was booked into the Fulton County jail Feb. 22, records show, and was held for six days before being released to Louisiana police. Earlier this week, he was booked into the Livingston Parish jail, according to booking records.

Rivera was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile, all felonies. He was being held Friday afternoon on a $100,000 bond, jail records show.
