South Fulton police are investigating after gunfire erupted during the filming of a music video Monday evening, leaving two injured.

About 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a location along Buckhurst Trail, police Lt. Jubal Rogers said. Two gunshot victims were found at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told officers that “there were people filming a music video in the street when the gunfire erupted,” Rogers said. He added that officers were fired upon by unknown suspects while at the scene Tuesday morning.

“The investigation is ongoing,” Rogers said. “There are no suspects in custody at this time. The motive is still being determined.”

The shooting appears to have taken place during the filming of a video by Atlanta rappers Gunna and Lil Keed, although authorities could not confirm. A video that amassed more than 400,000 views appears to show the two filming the video for the song “Fox 5” when gunfire rings out.

According to social media posts by both rappers, neither were injured during the incident. Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, posted an Instagram story that said, “Don’t believe the cap,” alluding to the shooting.

The incident comes about three weeks after Kitchens, 26, released his second album, “Wunna,” which debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

Lil Keed, whose real name is Raqhid Render, has made a few social media posts since the shooting, but none addressed the incident. The posts only promote the upcoming song's release.
