The two men fatally shot on Daniel Drive in southwest Atlanta Thursday night have been identified as Nathan Adams, 36, and Justin Hilliard, 30.

Atlanta police Sgt. Warren Pickard said officers responding to a shots fired call in the 2300 block of Daniel Drive about 7:15 p.m. Thursday found Adams dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Hilliard was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen and leg, but did not survive his injuries, Pickard said.

Investigators told Channel 2 Action News the victims, who were in separate cars, met up with a third vehicle, and two men got out of that vehicle, a dark-colored car, and fired shots at the victims.
