A Chick-fil-A restaurant that has been open only since January was robbed at gunpoint Monday, police said.

Shortly before 11 a.m., a man went into the Vine City location in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW and brandished a gun, Officer Lisa Bender said.

The man demanded money from the cashier and left with an undetermined amount, Bender said. He left in a dark sedan.

No injuries were reported. The robbery unit is investigating.
