A two-month-long investigation led by the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office resulted in 32 people being arrested Thursday in connection with various felony drug and gang-related charges.

The investigation titled “Operation Say No More” began with the goal of finding the source of narcotics that are believed to have resulted in three Spalding County deaths, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Search warrants and arrest warrants were executed on Thursday by several law enforcement agencies, which resulted in 25 Spalding County arrests, three Clayton County arrests, two Lamar County arrests, one Pike County arrest and a homeless woman’s arrest, the release said.

The suspects face charges mostly related to methamphetamine trafficking, heroin trafficking, violations of the Georgia Racketeering Act and possession of firearms during the commission of crimes.

Investigators are still seeking an additional 29 suspects associated with the investigation who have outstanding warrants, the release said.
