Two men are wanted after a violent armed robbery at a Gwinnett County gas station last month.
On Wednesday, Gwinnett police released photos of the suspects wanted in the Feb. 8 robbery at a Chevron at 2640 Duluth Highway.
Just after 11 p.m., the suspects entered the store wearing black clothing, masks and white gloves, police said in a news release. The men, armed with handguns, made the only employee who was working at the time open the cash register.
A gun was held against the back of the employee’s head as he worked to open the register. The employee later told police he was trying to stall so officers could arrive before the thieves left, according to an incident report.
However, that only angered the suspects.
One of them hit the victim in the back of the head with a gun before they stole about $1,000 in cash and cigarettes and ran from the store, the release said.
The entire incident was captured on surveillance footage, which was released by police.
