A Marietta man faces multiple felonies after being accused of molesting a 12-year-old girl several times since 2015, authorities said.
Brandon Lamont Ray, 31, faces three counts of child molestation in the alleged incidents that began when the child was 7 years old, according to Marietta police arrest warrants. The girl recently told her school counselor that Ray had inappropriately touched her on several occasions at three different locations, according to the warrants.
The most recent alleged incident was Halloween night at his apartment in the Park on Windy Hill complex off Windy Hill Road, the warrants said. She had fallen asleep on the living room sofa, and he’s accused of inappropriately touching her, undressing her and trying to sexually assault her.
Between December 2017 and February of this year, he molested her at a house off Booth Court while she slept in the living room, the warrants said.
The first alleged incident took place between November 2015 and December 2017 at a house off Bellemeade Way, where police say Ray got into bed with the child and tried to sexually assault her.
When interviewed by police, he denied any wrongdoing, the warrants said.
He is in the Cobb County Jail without bond, jail records show.
