Police are searching for two wanted suspects after investigators tied them to an armed robbery of a Georgia Tech student last month.
Ross Harris, 30, and Justyce Paige, 18, are wanted on multiple felonies, Atlanta police said Tuesday in a news release.
The two are accused of robbing the student on Biltmore Place about 9 p.m. Jan. 31, according to a police incident report. The victim said she was walking to a friend’s apartment off West Peachtree Street when a man and woman walked past her.
The next thing the victim knew, the woman was holding a handgun against her head, telling her to get on the ground, the report said. The suspects then stole the student’s cellphone, wallet and keys.
The victim waited to get up and call authorities until the suspects walked away, the report said.
Atlanta police investigators pulled tape from a camera on Biltmore Place and saw the robbery take place near a parking lot. Two suspects were seen walking west away from the scene.
It’s unclear how Harris and Paige were tied to the robbery, but Atlanta police credited assistance from Georgia Tech police and MARTA police for identifying them.
On Feb. 2, investigators obtained warrants charging both suspects with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
