A man was shot multiple times Monday morning at a southwest DeKalb County motel.
DeKalb police arrived at the Gulf American Inn on Flat Shoals Road around 1:30 a.m. and found the victim in critical condition, a police spokesman said. He was taken to an area hospital.
Officers investigated through the night at the motel, which is located just inside the Perimeter.
It was the third reported shooting in DeKalb County in as many days. Over the weekend, police responded to incidents in the Stone Mountain and East Lake areas.
A shooting Saturday night in the 5300 block of Nader Court south of Stone Mountain left one person with serious injuries, according to police. Just west of the East Lake neighborhood, another shooting Sunday at a gas station off the I-20 exit on Glenwood Avenue left a victim in critical condition.
Police have not released details in any of the recent incidents.
