An undercover sex bust at a Cobb County hotel Tuesday night led to eight arrests, including a man who allegedly tried to meet a 14-year-old girl, authorities said.

They were arrested at the Radisson at 1775 Parkway Place in Marietta, and the bust involved four alleged prostitutes, three alleged pimps and Willie Newson, 47, who faces a child exploitation charge, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Newson is accused of driving to the hotel to meet a 14-year-old who he spoke to on a dating app, Channel 2 reported. However, the teenager he thought he was talking to was actually an undercover officer, the news station reported.

When he arrived, the FBI Metro Atlanta Child Exploitation Task Force was at the hotel, and he was arrested, Channel 2 reported. An arrest warrant said the undercover officer “gave Newson the opportunity to stop communicating several times.”

The alleged prostitutes were also arrested after unknowingly agreeing to meet undercover officers the same night for hundreds of dollars, the news station reported. The alleged pimps were their drivers. They all face a misdemeanor charge, jail records show.

A Radisson manager told Channel 2 the allegations are disturbing.

Newson bailed himself out for $20,000, according to Cobb County Jail records.

Two of the alleged pimps and one alleged prostitute remain in jail on a $1,000 bond, jail records show.
