A man was arrested after allegedly firing a gun outside a Chuck E. Cheese in Cobb County, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Marc Mathurin pointed and shot at David Brooks in the parking lot of the kids restaurant on Cumberland Parkway on Nov. 30, according to a warrant.

Brooks was not hit by the bullet, the warrant said, but Mathurin then pressed the gun into Brooks’ side.

The shooting came after Brooks dropped off his girlfriend, Aliyah Thomas, and her 2-year-old son for a birthday party. Mathurin is Thomas’ ex-boyfriend, Channel 2 reported.

According to Brooks, he waited in the parking lot because he was not invited to the party. Minutes later, Mathurin came outside and confronted him, Channel 2 reported.

“People came running in, screaming. And there was so much commotion,” Thomas told the news station.

When police arrived at the scene, Mathurin resisted an officer trying to arrest him and ran toward Brooks, the warrant said.

Mathurin was granted a $30,000 bond.
