A Cherokee County man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly exposing himself inside his minivan, according to police.

Paul Lamar Phillips, 59, of Canton, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and booked into the Cherokee County jail, where he was being held Tuesday afternoon without bond, according to Lt. Jay Baker with the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office received two complaints in two days regarding a man exposing himself inside a gold or tan van while parked at businesses on Hickory Flat Highway, Baker said. Monday's incident allegedly happened at 9 a.m. in a Kroger parking lot, and a similar incident was reported at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, he said.

Deputies searched the area and located a van matching the description of witness reports, Baker said.

"The victim from today's incident positively identified the driver of the vehicle as the man she witnessed at the CVS," Baker said in an emailed statement.

At the time of his arrest, Phillips was out on bond for a 2013 arrest on a burglary charge, Baker said.
