A 15-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Spalding County, authorities said.

The teenager was hit on Northside Drive near Ridgeview Drive about 6:10 p.m., the Georgia State Patrol told AJC.com.

He was taken to WellStar Atlanta Medical Center, according to the GSP, and his condition was not released.

Officials said a vehicle was traveling west on Northside Drive when it hit the teen, who was with another person at the time. The pedestrians were walking east in the westbound lane, the GSP said. That stretch of the road does not have sidewalks.

The driver did not stop, the GSP said.

Car parts recovered from the scene belong to a 2006 or 2007 Cadillac CTS with antique bronze metallic paint, the GSP said. The vehicle will be missing its passenger-side mirror and will likely have other damage along the passenger side.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or incident is asked to contact GSP at 770-254-7201.
